How to improve English pronunciation: In this episode of Word of the Week, I will show you how to pronounce idea. An idea is a thought or a concept that you think of. Idea is often confused with ID. Yes! The pronunciation of English vowels can be a challenge.

Let's have a look at the sounds in those syllables. First syllable, (i) eye long vowel. Second syllable, dea another long vowel. Let's put them together.

Idea. Where is the stress in this word? I - dea, yes. It's on the second syllable idea. Let's put it in a sentence. What a good idea.
